Stories Of New York's Seniors, is a storytelling workshop that encourages connection and community bonding that culminates with a series of documentary films featuring Brooklyn Seniors presenting real life stories. The sharing of personal stories is a profound and authentic experience, connecting people by celebrating the universal experience of what it is to be alive. We work with all communities, including individuals with cognitive impairment and other mental or physical disabilities. Our belief is that everyone wants to be heard, every voice is important, every life is an astonishing experience and each of us has stories worth sharing. Whether performing, coaching others or producing a group show our goal is to get people talking, listening, and sharing. Our work aims to include everyone in the conversation about what it is to be human.
